S2E48, NIGHT Unexpected Kindness

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[UNEXPECTED KINDNESS]

Taes: And we are here together at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

But before we get started, I wanna make sure that you are fully, 100% ready for bed. So go put those pajamas, on brush your teeth, say goodnight to everybody that you love, come on back, grab your favorite stuffy. And can you hold them in close for a hug? Or can you wrap yourself up in a big blanket hug and get nice and cozy?

This morning, we talked about being unexpectedly kind. And our mission was to fill our day with moments when we surprise people with being extra kind. So, as you look back on your day, and even if you didn't join us this morning, can you look back on your day and notice the moments when you did something really kind for someone else?

And I would love to hear about them right now. So, you can share them with me here. Or you can share them with somebody that you are listening with right now.

When were you unexpectedly kind today?

Wow. I'm so proud of you for all of those moments when you showed your big heart by being really kind to other people.

And I wanna know, when you think about those moments when you were really kind, and when you were in those moments, when you were really kind, how did it make your heart feel?

Yeah, it feels really good, doesn't it, to do really nice things for other people. And did you know that being unexpectedly kind, it's actually scientifically proven to help you have a really great day? Because when we do really nice things for other people, it makes our own hearts feel really good.

So, I just wanna say thank you for doing our mission. Thank you for showing up with your big heart today.

Can you put your hands on that big heart of yours? Take a deep breath in, let it out.

And now, let's take a moment to be kind to ourselves. So, can you think back on your day? And can you think of all of the things that you did, of all of the people that you saw, and all of those little moments of kindness that you added in?

And as you give your heart a little hug, give it a little rub right now, can you just say, “I did a good job”?

You know, you did do a really good job.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
