S1E22, NIGHT The Shape of You (R)

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[THE SHAPE OF YOU]

Taes: Once you have done all of those good night things that you do, brushed your teeth, washed your face, given everybody a great big hug and put your jammies on, come on over. And we are going to do something that I like to call “The Shape of You”.

So for this, you are going to stand up and can you put one finger up in the air?

And this finger is now a pencil.

And I want you to use that pencil to make the outline of you.

So, you're going to take that finger and start on the top of your head. And I want you to bring your finger down around your head and around the side of your face and bring that finger down your neck and over your shoulder.

And once you get here, you're actually going to switch fingers to your other hand and take that finger. And you're going to go all the way down your arm and all the way down. You're going to go around one thumb, around another finger and around your middle finger around the next finger and around your little baby finger.

And you're going to go over your hand and down your arm. Over your elbow, all the way into your armpit. Give yourself a little tickle.

Okay, now keep drawing. You're going to go down over your side, over your hip all the way down your leg. Around your knee all the way down to your foot. And then you're going to go around your foot and get your baby toe. Get all of your toes in there. Go between each one.

And then come back up the side of your leg. Jump over to the other leg and go down that leg.

Okay, good. Get your foot. Get your big toe. Get that next toe and get all of your toes. And then you're going to come back down the side of your foot and come back all the way up the other side of your body. Up over your hip. Up over your side. Back in your armpit.

Now you're going to switch hands again. Get the other hand there. Good. Put it in your armpit and move down the arm. There you go.

Bring that finger around your thumb. And draw the tracing of your hand. There you go. Till you get to your baby finger, then you're going to go right up the side of your arm till you get to your shoulder and over your neck, and then back around your face to the top of your head.

And now can you take that finger and can you draw the shape of your heart draw one side of your heart, draw the other side of your heart.

Let's do it again. Draw the shape of your heart. Draw one side of your heart and draw the other side of your heart.

Drawing the shape of you before you go to sleep is a really good way to remember that there is nobody in the whole world just like you.

And there is nobody in the whole world who has a heart, just like yours. You and your heart are magic.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
