S1E20, NIGHT Telling a Story Together

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[MAKE A STORY]

Taes: Once you have done all of your good night things like brushed your teeth, put on your jammies and said goodnight to everyone you love, I want you to jump up into bed and you're going to start this one sitting up because I am going to be looking for your help writing a good night story.

So I'll start the story and then you can fill in the blanks. Okay?

If you're ready to go touch the top of your head. Okay.

Once upon a time, there was a small human. And this small human's name was…

And this small human lived in a big house with a big tree on the front lawn. And this small human has a favorite stuffy that they call…

And at the end of the day, when this small human is done doing all of the beautiful things that they spend their day doing, they know that it's time for bed. So they jump into bed. They put their head on their…

They pull up the…

And they closed their…

And the thing that this small human loves to do to help them fall asleep is count the stars.

And when the small human closes their eyes to fall asleep, they like to count the stars. Counting the stars reminds their body that it's time for bed.

It goes like this one star. I love you. Two stars. I love you. Can you join in? Three stars. I love you. Four stars. I love you. Five stars. I love you. Six stars. I love you. You finish that.

(listener counts to 10)

And when the small human gets all 10 of the stars counted, they stretch their arms out and they imagine pulling all of those stars to them.

And they imagine taking those stars and putting them inside of there… heart. And their heart becomes a light. And this heart light shines bright all night long.

And all across the world, there are millions of small humans with heartlights.

And those heartlights remind you that all night long, you are safe, you are loved, and you are never alone.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
