S2E22, NIGHT Pancake Breath

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[PANCAKE BREATH]

Taes: It's so good to see you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

So make sure before you listen to this, that you have done all of your bedtime business, put your jammies on. Brush your teeth said goodnight to everybody that you love. Maybe have a snack. Maybe grab yourself your favorite stuffy, your favorite blankie, and just crawl into bed.

And put your hands on that heart of yours and just notice how your heart is feeling.

Tonight, we're going to review some things that we did this morning, and then we're gonna do a few more breathing things that will help you fall right asleep, because we know that big, deep breathing is a really good way to tell our body that we are ready for sleep.

This morning, we learned a breath called “Pancake Breath”. And if you were with us this morning, it was a bit of a silly one. We pretended that our hands were pancakes and we stacked them up.

So I'd like to know if you used your pancake breath today at all.

And if you did, how did it go?

And if you have not learned pancake breath, make sure that you go on back and listen to this morning's episode, all about “Pancake Breath”, because it is a really silly, fun breath to use.

So tonight we're gonna do the “Sleepy Pancake Breath”. So can you take your two hands in front of you? And imagine that those are pancakes. Oh, every time I say “sleepy”, I start to yawn. Imagine those hands are pancakes that you're going to eat in the morning.

And you're gonna lie down on your bed, on your back. And take one of those pancake hands and put it on your belly. Take the other pancake hand, put it on top of your belly and then pull one pancake hand and put it on top. Put the other pancake hand on top, but this whole time, your pancake cans are resting on your belly.

And you're gonna take a big deep breath in stack those pancakes on your belly and your belly's getting bigger. And let it out. And you're gonna go,”Nome nom nom nom nom nom”, but a little bit sleepier than this morning.

So you'll find that this pancake breath is a lot like our breath this morning, but we're keeping our energy low for goodnight.

So one more time, imagine your hands are pancakes. Put one pancake hand on your belly. Take a big deep breath in, and start to stack those pancakes on your belly. As your belly goes out like a big balloon and let it out. And, “Nom nom nom nom nom nom.”

And when you get done your whole stack of pancakes, put those hands on your heart. And picture the pancakes that maybe you'll eat tomorrow morning, but maybe you'll eat them some other time in your life and let those bring a big smile to your face.

Thanks for learning “Pancake Breath” with me today. I hope you have the happiest of happy dreams.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
