S2E02, NIGHT I Am Brave

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[I AM BRAVE]

Taes: I am so happy to see you and to see your big, brave heart.

Can you go and put on your pajamas? Make sure you have said goodnight to everybody in your house and breast your teeth and come on back.

And once you are fully ready for sleeping. We are going to talk about when you were brave today. And I wanna fill your head with all of the ways that you were brave today, so that when you go to sleep, you can have dreams of your own bravery.

So when you are back, can you come on over and put your hands in your heart? Take a great big, deep breath in and let it out.

And now can you just whisper to your heart, “I am brave”?

You are so brave.

So can you think back in your day today, and I want you to tell me when you are really brave and remember there are little tiny things that we do during the day that are brave, like, maybe putting up your hand in class, when you feel nervous. All day long, you are doing little moments of bravery, maybe talking to a new friend.

So when you look back at your day, when are the times when you were really brave?

Mm, those are really good. Thank you so much for sharing with me.

And I'm wondering, how did it feel when you were brave? How did your heart feel when you were brave?

Yeah. It's interesting when you're brave, because usually being brave starts out with the feeling of having butterflies in your tummy or feeling really nervous. And then getting through that feeling requires you to take a deep breath and be brave and step into something new.

And I'm so proud of you for all of the big and all of the little ways that you were brave. And I'm excited for you tomorrow.

So can you put your hands in your heart again, take a deep breath in, let it out and imagine that feeling of being brave. And hold that feeling inside of your heart. And whisper one more time, “I am brave.”

You are so brave. You have such a beautiful, big, brave heart.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
