S2E42, NIGHT Find the Facts

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Hello, my name is Taes and I am so happy to be here with you at the very end of our day to say goodnight.

It is just such a good time to think back on what happened today on how we felt throughout the day and just wind down together.

Are you ready?

Me too.

I love knowing all day long that I get to see you and hear about how your day was and how you're feeling.

So, first of all, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being here with me.

[FIND THE FACTS]

Taes: It is so good to see you!

Before we start our bedtime together. Can you make sure you have done all of your bedtime things, make sure that your teeth are brushed. Make sure you're in your pajamas. Make sure that you have said goodnight to everyone you love and then grab your favorite stuffy. Maybe grab your favorite cozy blanket and come on over into your bed and get underneath the covers.

This morning, we played a game called “Find the Facts”, and this was a game that you could play whenever your big feelings came up. If you had a chance to play “Find the Facts” today, can you touch the top of your head?

Good. Awesome. And if you didn't have a chance to play “Find the Facts” today, can you touch your nose?

I wanna play it one more time with you tonight. So, can you tell me where are you right now?

Can you tell me what is on your pajamas?

Can you tell me what position is your body in? So are you lying down? Are you sitting up?

Can you tell me one color that you can see with your eyes?

Can you tell me one other thing that you can see with your eyes?

And now tell me one more thing that you can see with your eyes.

And now can you close those eyes and just think about that big, comfy bed that you are in. And I want you to paint the picture behind your eyelids of a beautiful, sunny sky with clouds and birds flying by.

Take a big deep breath in, and let it out. And as you start to get ready to fall asleep, remember that you can find the facts in your day, and then at night you can paint whatever picture you want behind your eyelids.

So what picture do you wanna paint tonight? Maybe there's one of your favorite animals. Or maybe it's the picture of you getting a hug from someone you love. You get to write this story. So, paint the picture of things that make you feel really happy.

And as you drift off into sleep, I wanna say thank you for sharing your time with me today. Thank you for learning a brand new tool that you can use for your big feelings. And thank you for painting such a beautiful picture on your eyelids.

[CLOSING]

Taes: Thank you to you for being here with me.

I can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

Have an amazing sleep with lots of happy dreams.

Remember, there is nobody in the whole world with a heart just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
