S1E53, MORNING Yes

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

So let's get started with our activity.

[THE WORD “YES”]

Taes: Can you start by saying the word “yes”. Oh, that was good.

Can you say it even louder? Can I hear you say “yes”?

So just using the word “yes” activates all of the positive feelings inside of our body. Can you say it one more time? Let's hear you say “yes”.

Now I'm going to show you two different things that you can do with the word “yes”.

The first thing is something that you can do while you're sitting down or while you're moving throughout your day at any moment. So if you're having some big feelings and you want to try to move through them yourself, you can use this.

The first thing you are going to take your eyebrows, and you're going to raise them up as far as you can. Are you ready? Raise your eyebrows. And now drop them. And now raise them. And now drop them. And as you do this, can you say the word “yes”?

Ready? You're going to go “yes, yes, yes, yes, yes”, and wiggle your eyebrows. It's a little bit silly, but this is why it really works.

Okay. So that's your first one.

And the second one, you're going to jump up on your feet. And can you jump up in the air? Good.

Now this time you're going to jump up in the air while you say the word “yes”?

You got it. You know what we're doing here.

Okay. Are you ready? You're going to jump and yell at the word “yes”.

So good. Let's do it again. Ready? “yes”. One more time. “Yes”.

And freeze.

And let's see your eyebrows go “yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes”.

So these are both two things that you can use throughout your day when you're starting to feel like maybe you've got some big feelings coming on and, you know, the thing is we love our big feelings.

But if, in that moment, you want to come back to your heart? You can try using the word “yes” and jumping. Or you can just make your eyebrows jump a little bit, depending on how you're feeling.

So using the word “yes” helps our body wake up for the day. And it will also help you throughout your day to move through big feelings. So let's try it one more time.

Are you ready? We're going to jump up in the air and yell at the word “yes”. One more time. “Yes.”

Now take your eyebrows and wiggle them and say “yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes”.

Oh, that is so good.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
