S1E25, MORNING Wake Up Body (R)

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

So let's get started with our activity.

[WAKE UP, BODY!]

Taes: I think that today we should wake up our bodies. If you want to wake up your body for a really great day, can you say, “Oh yeah”.

I don't know. That was pretty good. But if you really want to wake up your body to have a really great day, can I hear you say, “Oh yeah”. Okay.

So jump up on your feet. I know we're going to start with one finger. Can you take one finger and can you just wiggle it? Wiggle that finger. Can you say, “Wake up finger”? Okay. Good.

Now, can you add in all of your other fingers on that hand and just wiggle them? Can you say, “Hey, wake up fingers?”

Now, can you roll your wrist? And can you say, “Wake up, wrist”?

Can you flap your arm like a chicken? And can you say, “Wake up, arm”? Good.

Now, can you imagine just wiggling your head as you wiggle your arm all at the same time? And can you say, “Wake up, head”?. Okay.

Oh, it's moving over now. Can you just start bouncing your shoulders for me? Oh, can you say. “Wake up shoulders”?

Good. And all of a sudden your other arm is joining in. Now you have two arms flapping, like a chicken and one head wiggling around. Yep. Oh yeah. I can see that. Can you say, “Wake up, other arm”? Good.

Oh, it's moving. All of a sudden you are wiggling your middle. Can you say, “Wake up, tummy”?

Oh, and now your hips are moving too. So right now you're moving one arm, like a chicken, the other arm, like a chicken. Your head is waving back and forth. Your tummy is moving and now your hips are moving too, And can you say, “Wake up, hips”?

Oh, and it's moving down into your legs and suddenly your knees are wiggling back and forth. Can you say, “Wake up knees”?

And now can you wiggle your feet? So right now we should have two wiggling arms, one wiggling head, one, wiggling tummy, wiggling hips, wiggling legs, wiggling knees, and wiggling feet. And can you say, “Wake up, feet”?

And now can you shake your arms, shake your hand, shake your head, shake your legs, shake everything, shake your whole body. And can you say, “Wake up, body”?

Can you say, “I love you”? And freeze. And put your hands in your heart.

Take a great big, deep breath in and let it out and just notice how your body feels after you start moving it, moving your body in the morning is a great way to start your day.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
