S2E39, MORNING Thankful Thoughts

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

[THANKFUL THOUGHTS]

Taes: This morning, we are going to do some fun things with thank you thoughts, because we know that thank you thoughts are really, really good at boosting our mood, boosting our energy and helping us have a really great day. And once we are done with our thank you thoughts game, you will be filled up and ready to start your day.

If you are ready, can you say, “Oh yeah”? That was good, but can you say it even louder if you are ready, say,  “Oh yeah”. Great.

Jump up on your feet. Here's what we're gonna do. We're doing a rapid fire thank you thoughts game. I'm going to say “one”, and you're gonna say, “I'm thankful for…” and then say one thing. And then I'll say “two”, and then you're gonna say, “I'm thankful for…” and then say something else. Okay?

But we're gonna do it pretty, pretty fast, because I want you to just start thinking about all of the things that you can feel thankful for right now. And sometimes they might be things that you might not even think about and that's what's even better.

So I might say, “I'm thankful for my toes”. I mean, I've never really said that I'm thankful for my toes before, but I really, really am thankful for them. See what I'm saying here?

Okay. Are you ready? So I'll say “one”, and then you tell me something that you feel thankful for.

Here we go. And 1.

Good. Okay. Give me the other one. 2!

3!

4!

5!

6!

7!

Good. You got this! 8!

9!

10!

Yes, you did it! You found 10 things that you can be thankful for right here in this moment. And I love that there's just so many things in every moment that we can be thankful for.

So, today, when you go out in your day, I want you to start thinking of things that you can be thankful for, that you never really would've thought about before, like maybe you could be thankful for your shoelaces because they tie up your shoes and that is a really important job. Or maybe you could be thankful for the crusts on your sandwich because they're really, really healthy for you and kind of delicious, too.

So as you go throughout your day, try to find as many things as possible to be thankful for. And then tonight we are gonna play the “Ten Things I Can Be Thankful For” speed game again. And we're gonna see how it goes.

Oh, I wanna say thank you so much for you for showing up today and for being your most amazing self.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
