S1E07, MORNING I’ve Got This and Reasons Why

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

[I’VE GOT THIS]

Taes: You know, some days, you know, when you wake up and you feel like, “Oh yes, I've got this”. And then some days you feel like, “Hmm, I think I'd rather stay in bed”.

Have you ever had mornings like that?

Yeah. I think every single human on the entire planet has mornings when they just want to stay in bed.

So I want to give you something today that will help you have the ”I've got this” feeling even on the days when you feel like staying in bed and it's something that you can use all day long.

So here's what you're going to do:

You're going to take your shoulders right now and you're just going to bounce them up and down.

Yep. You got it.

Let me see your shoulders bounce.

And you're going to say, as you bounce your shoulders bounce, “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

Ready? You try. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.

Okay, good. Do it again. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

Let's do it one more time. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

Now as you do it, can you walk with your feet? Ready? “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

One more time. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

You should be walking around your room, bouncing your shoulders and saying, “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.”

Good. Okay. So the next part is, you're going to say, “I've got this.”

Ready? You try. “I've got this!”

Good. And when you say “I've got this”, I want you to strike a pose, like a pose that's like your superhero pose and everybody has a different superhero pose. It might be hands on your hips. It might be one hand up in the air, one hand on your hip. It might be both hands behind your head. It might be both arms straight out in front of.

Whatever your superhero pose is, I'm going to count to three and I want you to strike your pose. Ready? 1, 2, 3, go.

Oh, that's really good. So, so good.

So altogether, what you're going to do is you're going to bounce your shoulders. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah”. And you're going to go, “I've got this” and strike your pose.

Yes. There you go. You've got it.

Okay. Let's try it all together. Ready? “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this”.

Yes, let's do it again. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this.”

Oh, that is so good. So you can do this all day long. And if you were in a place that you maybe want to do it a little bit inside, this is something that you can just say inside of your head and it will help too.

So let's try just saying this inside of our head. So you're going to go. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I’ve got this. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this.”

Quietly. Ready? Here we go. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I got this. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I got this.”

Now, just say it in your head.

Good. Now, can you say it as loud as you can bounce those shoulders? Ready? 1, 2, 3. “Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this.”

And do you know what you do have this? And I am going to be over here. Just bouncing my shoulders for you all day long.

“Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I've got this.”

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
