S2E01, MORNING I am Brave

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

[I AM BRAVE]

Taes: Well, good morning. Good morning. It is so good to have you here.

Oh, I just love spending some time with you in the morning. And then a little bit more time with you at night, getting to know you and getting to know your big, big heart.

So today we're going to talk about being brave and I'm gonna give you something that you can do to help you feel even more brave. And then you'll be ready to go out in your day. And you're going to be noticing the times that you are brave, and then you're gonna come back tonight and we will talk about when you were really brave today.

Have you ever been really brave before?

Yeah, I know that you have been very brave before, and sometimes we do really big things that are brave before. And sometimes we do little things that are really big acts of bravery. Like sometimes sharing how we feel is really brave. And then sometimes doing something really scary is really brave. Like the first time you go to a new classroom. Or maybe it's doing like a scary ride at the fair, those are brave. And then it's also really brave to tell someone how you're feeling and to really share your heart. And I'm excited for you to be brave in all of these ways.

So can you put your hands on your heart for a minute? Can you take a great big, deep breath in? And let it out.

And can you say, “I have a big heart”? Good.

Now, can you find a pose that makes you feel really brave? It can be anything at all. This can be a superhero pose with your hands on your hips, or maybe one hand is up in the air and the other hand is by your shoulder. Whatever it is that makes you feel brave.

I'm gonna count to three and then show me your brave pose.

Ready? One. Two. Three.

Oh, that's really, really good. Okay.

Now I'm gonna count to three and you're gonna do your brave pose. And then you are going to say, “I am brave”.

Are you ready? Here we go. 1, 2, 3.

You are brave. You are so brave. Let's try it again.

Ready. 1, 2, 3. Strike a pose.

“I am brave”.

You are very, very, very brave.

So as you go throughout your day today, I want you to just notice all of the times that maybe you get that little nervous feeling inside of you, but you move through that feeling and you do something that feels brave.

And then tonight, when you come back, I wanna hear about when you were brave today.

So I wanna say thank you so much for spending time with me, for sharing your big, brave heart.

Now go out there and have a great day. And I can't wait to see you later.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
