S2E11, MORNING Hugs
[INTRODUCTION]
Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.
Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”
Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”
And I want to say good morning to you.
I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.
Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!
[HUGS]
Taes: Today, we are going to talk about hugging. Did you know that when you get a hug or even when you give yourself a hug, it actually releases a happy vitamin inside of your brain that will make you feel better?
So when you're having really big feeling moments, or if you're feeling a little bit anxious about something, it's really helpful to give yourself a hug. And if you're around somebody, you might wanna ask them if they will give you a hug, too.
But today we are gonna start by giving ourselves a hug to start off this day. So can you jump up on your feet and stretch your arms out? As far as you can go all the way to the edge of the room and take those arms and give yourself a great big hug. Good.
Now, can you take those hands and wiggle them in front of you? And can you give your ears a hug? Can you give your nose a hug? Can you give your knees a hug? Can you give your hips a hug? Or what about your belly button? Can you try to give your belly button a hug?
And now can you reach up high? And can you give the top of your head a hug? And then move it all the way down your body?
You're gonna wanna wiggle your head, wiggle your shoulders, wiggle your arms, wiggle your hips, wiggle your knees, wiggle your toes. A big hug going from the top of your head all the way to the tips of your toes.
Stretch those arms out one more time beside you. And wrap them around yourself, giving yourself a great big hug.
And now take those hands, put them on your heart, and give your heart a big hug.
And when you think about your day, that's about to start, can you think about something that you're really excited about? Something that when you do it, it might feel like a hug.
Have you ever done something that feels so good, it's like you're getting a hug?
So what's something that's coming up today for you that you feel excited about?
And, as you think about it, can you imagine that it's like a big hug going over your body? That feeling of excitement for something that's coming.
So take that, feeling, that feeling of a great big hug and the feeling of something exciting about to happen, and carry it into your day. And I can't wait to see you later on tonight.
[CLOSING]
Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.
And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.
I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.
Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.
I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
