S1E43, MORNING Here I Am

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

[HERE I AM]

Taes: Are you ready to start this day today, I'm going to show you an activity and then you will be all ready to get started on your big heart day.

Can you take both of your hands? Hold them up in front of you. And now, can you clap them together like this? And can you take your hands and rub them together? Really, really, really, really, really fast. So fast that they have heat going through them. Good.

And as you're rubbing them together, can you say, “Here I am”? Ready?

Here I am.

And I'll say it again.

Here I am. Here I am. Here I am. Here I am.

And pause. And take those hands, and I want you to just put them on your cheeks and just hold that warm feeling on your cheeks.

Take a big deep breath in. Let it out. Clap your hands together. Rub them together. And can you say, “Here I am”?

Here I am. Here I am.

Take those hands and put them on your cheeks. Feel that warmth of your hands on your cheeks.

Take a big deep breath in and let it out. Good.

Now, put your hands on your heart. Take a big deep breath in and let it out.

This really quick exercise is a really good thing to do when you feel the big feels coming on. What we're doing is we are actually feelings-flipping by warming up our hands.

So we're changing our body's state by heating up our hands and putting them on our face. And sometimes in those big feelings, when you feel like you might just jump into a big feeling without knowing what you're doing, it's a really great time to do a feeling-flip. And a feeling-flip can bring you right back to your heart, and then you'll be able to talk about that big feeling, which is what we always want to be able to do. Right?

You know, I love teaching you these things because I just know that you're ready to learn them.

And I'm so excited for you to start adding them into your day. And I can't wait to see you tonight and hear how it all goes.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
