S1E21, MORNING Good Morning Face (R)
[INTRODUCTION]
Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.
Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”
Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”
And I want to say good morning to you.
I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.
Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!
So let's get started with our activity.
[GOOD MORNING FACE]
Taes: Thank you. Thank you for showing up for me and also for showing up and doing something really good for you to start off your day.
So today we are going to do something that I like to call “Good Morning Face”.
So can you take your hands right now and just shake them beside you? Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake.
Okay. Now you're going to do that thing that we do sometimes where you rub your hands together and make them nice and warm. So rub your hands together, warm them up. Good.
Now can you take your hands and place them on your cheeks? And as you do that, can you say, “Good morning, face”. Good.
Now put your hands on your cheeks. Good. Now, can you just jiggle your face a little bit and say, “Good morning, face”. Good.
Now, can you take your fingers and just tap on your forehead a little bit and say, “Good morning, face”. Just tap on your forehead.
Now, can you tap your fingers down your nose? “Good morning, face”. Good.
Can you tap your fingers on your cheekbones? And say, “Good morning, face”. Good.
Now, can you take your fingers and can you stretch your ears a little bit and give your ears a little bit of a rub and this time say, “Good morning, ears”. Good.
Now, can you take your fingers and tap right down to your chin? And can you say, “Good morning, face”. Good.
Now, just give your face a full on massage with all of your fingers. Rub your face. Rub your face.
This is waking up your face for the day.
And one more time. Can you say, Good morning, face”? Okay.
Does your face feel more awake now though, actually? It does, right?
So, sometimes what we need to do is to just actively wake our bodies up and say, “Let's go. It's time for the day.”
So take those hands one more time and rub them together. Really fast, get some good heat going. Okay. Now can you take those hands and just rub them one more time from the top of your forehead, all the way down over your eyes and all the way down to your shoulders and give your shoulders a little rub. Roll your shoulders back. There you go. Now make your face really big and make it really small and say one more time, “Good morning, face”.
[CLOSING]
Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.
And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.
I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.
Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.
I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
