S2E17, MORNING Big Heart Pledge
[INTRODUCTION]
Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.
Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”
Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”
And I want to say good morning to you.
I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.
Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!
[BIG HEART PLEDGE]
Taes: It's so good to see you, like it always is every single morning. Thank you for being here with me today.
We are going to say our big heart pledge this morning, and then we're gonna do a little wiggle and be ready for the day.
To start off, can you jump up on your feet? Wiggle your toes. Wiggle the top of your head. Wiggle your shoulders. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, and freeze.
Put your hands in your heart. Take a big breath in, you know how it goes. Let it out now.
Put your two hands in front of you with your palms facing out. And can you repeat after me? “When we are together…”
Now flip your hands around. So your palms are facing yourself and say, “And when we are apart…”
Now, put your two palms, glue them together like this and say, “I'll live every day…”
Now, put your hands in your heart and say, “With my big, big heart.”
Let's try it all together. Hands out with your palms facing away from your body. “When we are together.” Flip your hands around. “And when we are apart.” Put your hands together like this.
“I'll live every day.”
Hands on your heart. “With my big, big heart.”
Let's try it again. One more time. Here we go. Hands out. “When we are together and when we are apart, I live every day with my big, big heart.”
What do you think it means to live every day with your big heart? What does it mean to have a big heart? Just think about this for a minute. And I would love to hear your thoughts.
Yeah. Having a big heart means being kind to yourself. It means being kind to other people. Yeah. And having a big heart really means that when you have a big feeling, you take a pause and you notice it and you learn how to love your feelings and how to move through them. That is all part of having a big heart and being kind and being generous and being really, really brave. And I know that you are all of those things.
Can you take your hands, put them above your head, wiggle your fingers? Say, “I have a big heart.” Wiggle your arms. “I have a big heart.” Wiggle your shoulders. “I have a big heart.” Wiggle your whole body. Wiggle your legs. “I have a big heart.”
And now can you shake your body for the count of five, your whole body ready? Shake, shake, shake 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 3.
Put your hands in your heart and say, I have a big, big heart. You do have the biggest heart and I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
[CLOSING]
Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.
And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.
I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.
Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.
I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
