S2E43, MORNING At The Movies

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

[AT THE MOVIES]

Taes: Thank you for joining me each and every morning, as we say good morning, and as we say good night.

Today, we are going to play “At the Movies” and in At the Movies, we get to imagine a movie of our day. And when we are all done, you can open up the door to your real day and step out into it and be ready for being in your own movie.

Can you jump up on your feet and stand very still with two feet on the floor and stand straight up. Good. Can you roll your shoulders back? And can you say, “I am” and then say your name. Ready? So you're gonna go, “I am” and then your name. Here we go.

That was good. Now can you say it one more time? “I am”, and then your name. Good.

Well, I am so happy to be here with you at your very own movie. Can you close your eyes and imagine that you're eating a big thing of popcorn and you are watching a movie of your day.

What would you like your day to look like starting off with the morning? What will your morning look like?

And you're just going to imagine all of the things that will happen to you today. Where will you go? Who will you see? What will you do? We're gonna spend a few minutes with some music. Will you imagine the movie of your day? Remember, this is your day, so you can make it exactly the way that you want it to be. It's your movie.

How do you wanna feel in your day? If you could pick one feeling word, what would it be?

Good one. So keep imagining your day.

And imagine your day right up until the time when you come back to say goodnight. So your whole big movie of a day. And when you get to the very end of the day, when you are getting into bed to go to sleep, oh, there's my sleepy yawn. We don't want that yet.

You’re gonna open up your eyes when you have imagined the movie of your whole day. And can you say out loud, “Today will be a great day”?

Now, put your hands on your heart as if you are taking that whole movie and sealing it into your heart. That movie of your day lives in there.

And now can you pretend that you are opening the door and you're gonna take two big steps out into your day. And can you say your name? You're going to say “I am” and say your name.

Good. Roll your shoulders back.

I am so excited for your day. Did you know that when you can picture how you want your day to be, you are actually going to be pulling those things towards you. And just by imagining a really good day, it will help you have really good day.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
