S1E59, MORNING Anger Jump (R)

[INTRODUCTION]

Taes: Good morning. My name is Taes and I want to welcome you to today.

Can you wave your hand and say, “Good morning, day.”

Can you put your hands on your heart and say, “Good morning, heart.”

And I want to say good morning to you.

I just love getting to start today with you as we check in, as we wake up our bodies, and as we think about what is in store for us today.

Are you ready to start off our morning? Great!

So let's get started with our activity.

[ANGER JUMP]

Taes: Today, we are going to be looking at a really fun feeling and it's probably not the feeling you think I'm about to say. Today, we are going to look at the feeling of anger. And I think anger is really fun because it's such a big emotion with so much big energy behind it.

So can you jump up on your feet? This is also a great way to start the day.

When you feel the great big feeling of anger coming into your body, I want you to try this: Jump up on your feet, and you are going to jump 10 times. And every time you jump, you're going to say, “I love you”.

Okay. So jump up on your feet. Are you ready?

And…

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Jump. I love you.

Freeze. Take a big deep breath in and let it out. One more big breath in, and let it out.

Now, this probably seems a little bit silly, but what this does is since anger is such a great big emotion, what we wanna do is move it in a big way. So that is why we are jumping.

And the words “I love you” bring big, positive feelings into your body.

Now, this jumping and “I love you” is something you can use all throughout your day. And it's also a great way to get your energy moving first thing in the morning, like we did together.

So, please let me know if you try this throughout your day, because I'd really like to hear about it.

[CLOSING]

Taes: I'm so excited for you and for your day.

And I want to say thank you so much for starting today with me and for setting yourself up for a big heart kind of day.

I can't wait to see you tonight and hear about all of the things that you did.

Remember: there is nobody in the whole world with a heart, just like yours.

I love you. And I love your big heart so much.
